TAB Leather was born from a passion for craftsmanship, a deep respect for tradition, and a desire to create durable, handcrafted leather goods that stand the test of time.
As an active-duty Marine Corps veteran and a full-time firefighter, I've always been drawn to the rich history and heritage associated with leather. It's a material that represents strength, resilience, and a commitment to service – values that are deeply ingrained in both the military and firefighting communities.
A few years ago, I started a tradition of gifting my fellow firefighters with leather goods for Christmas. I wanted to give them something unique and meaningful, something that reflected the tradition and pride we take in our profession. For a couple years, I would order the gifts online from the mainland. One day while going down a Youtube rabbit hole, I stumbled on a few videos of leathercrafters and was instantly inspired to create the gifts myself.
That's how TAB Leather began.
What started as a personal project quickly turned into a passion. I found immense satisfaction in transforming raw materials into functional, beautiful pieces. And I loved the idea of creating something that others could appreciate and use every day.
